Vincent Evans and Janell O’Rourke established Blue Swan Painting and Design in New York City in 2004 and are members of The United Scenic Artists Union Local 829. Blue Swan, now located in the Catskills/Mid Hudson Valley, work well with both commercial and residential clients. Depending on what sort of job it is, large or small, we can offer the skill set to suit each individual project. Our aim is to provide complete client satisfaction throughout the job process, with an emphasis on quality and cooperation. We use high quality non-toxic, eco-friendly materials.

Interior Painting and Preparation
Our prep-work is custom-made to your needs and includes high-quality plaster work, skim coating, wallpaper removal and priming as required for a clean, fresh surface. Following preparation, we apply environmentally friendly water-based paints to walls, ceilings and trim for a professional interior paint job. We are committed to our clients to provide a thorough, attractive and clean job.
Faux Finishing
A specialized wall treatment can create a unique atmosphere in your home or work space and can help to camouflage imperfections or damaged walls. We make custom samples based on client requirements. Techniques include: Venetian Plaster, Lime Wash, Marbling, Ragging and Color Wash - however, the options are limitless.
